About the church
We are a branch church of The First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts. The Christian Science Church was started over 125 years ago by Mary Baker Eddy "To organize a church designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing." (pg. 17 Church Manual of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts by Mary Baker Eddy)
Definition of Church and the divine Principle upon which our church is built: Love
"The structure of Truth and Love; whatever rests upon and proceeds from divine Principle.
The Church is that institution, which affords proof of its utility and is found elevating the race,
rousing the dormant understanding from material beliefs to the apprehension of spiritual ideas and
the demonstration of divine Science, thereby casting out devils, or error, and healing the sick."
(pg. 583 Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy)
"Our church is built on the divine Principle, Love. We can unite with this church only as we are new-born of Spirit, as we reach the Life which is Truth and the Truth which is Life by bringing forth the fruits of Love,--casting out error and healing the sick." (pg. 35 Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy)

Weekly Bible Lesson topic for March 8-14: Substance
"Substance is that which is eternal and incapable of discord and decay. Truth, Life and Love are substance,
as the Scriptrues use this word in Hebrews: "The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen." Spirit, the synonym of Mind, Soul, or God, is the only real substance. The spiritual universe,
including individual man, is a compound idea, reflecting the divine substance of Spirit."
(pg. 468:17 Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy)
Wednesday Testimony Meeting: 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.
The first half of the meeting you will hear readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key
to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
The last half of the meeting is devoted to testimonies of
healing from the congregation and remarks on how Christian Science has blessed
them. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings to find out how Christian Science
meets the everyday, practical needs of those who study and apply this Science.
