About the church

We are a branch church of The First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts. The Christian Science Church was started over 125 years ago by Mary Baker Eddy "To organize a church designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing." (pg. 17 Church Manual of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts by Mary Baker Eddy)

Definition of Church and the divine Principle upon which our church is built: Love

"The structure of Truth and Love; whatever rests upon and proceeds from divine Principle.
The Church is that institution, which affords proof of its utility and is found elevating the race, rousing the dormant understanding from material beliefs to the apprehension of spiritual ideas and the demonstration of divine Science, thereby casting out devils, or error, and healing the sick." (pg. 583 Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy)

"Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God's own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick." (pg. 476:32-4 Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy)
